San Francisco Issues Formal Apology to Black Residents for Decades of Systemic Racism

Reducing Alzheimer's impact on Black families.

Dr. David Ajibade, an Alzheimer's Association educator, aims to reduce the risk of Alzheimer's disease in the African American community by sharing simple ways to decrease risk. African Americans are affected by Alzheimer's disease and other dementia at twice the rate as white Americans. Ajibade makes it his mission to educate African Americans in senior centers and community forums all over Maryland. He helps explain the main risk factors that cause Alzheimer's disease to impact African Americans at a higher rate and shares preventive measures like improving sleep, exercising, and monitoring blood sugar and blood pressure levels.
