Blood and Bone Trailer Brings Adeyemi’s African Fantasy to Life
Paramount released the trailer for the film adaptation of Tomi Adeyemi’s best-selling novel 'Children of Blood and Bone,' directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood. The fantasy centers on Zelie (Thuso Mbedu) in the magic-suppressed kingdom of Orïsha, as she and unlikely allies confront a brutal king (Chiwetel Ejiofor) with the goal of reclaiming magic; the cast includes Damson Idris, Cynthia Erivo, and Viola Davis. Filmed across Africa, the movie arrives in theaters January 15, 2027.
