
Encapsulation Epitaxy Enables Air-Stable 2D NbSe2 for Scalable Quantum Circuits
A new encapsulation-epitaxy method grows wafer-scale, monolayer NbSe2 beneath a 2D protection layer (graphene or hBN), resulting in air-stable superconductivity and enabling integration into superconducting quantum circuits with high kinetic inductance, signaling a path toward large-scale, monolithic quantum-device fabrication.
