Eagles’ biggest hurdle: aging, injury-plagued O-line could eclipse Brown trade chatter
The Eagles’ 2026 outlook hinges more on fixing a battered, aging offensive line than on trading A.J. Brown: injuries and wear pushed the O-line from No. 1 in 2024 to No. 7 in 2025, with Mailata, Dickerson, Jurgens and Johnson playing hurt, Johnson’s Lisfranc injury, Dickerson considering retirement, and Jurgens recovering from back issues. A coaching change to Chris Kuper and a shift to a zone-blocking scheme under Sean Mannion add variables, and unless the line stabilizes and Hurts adapts to more under-center play, OL problems could derail the season more than any Brown trade.
