Ohtani sidelined by triceps pain as Dodgers weigh rest ahead of All-Star break
Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani will sit out Saturday’s game due to right-triceps soreness after a six-inning, 110-pitch start in which he left for a pinch-hitter in the seventh. Manager Dave Roberts said resting him is on the table as the team weighs his heavy two-way workload ahead of the All-Star break, following earlier biceps soreness. Ohtani has a 1.79 ERA through 14 starts with 95 strikeouts in 85⅔ innings and has hit 18 homers in 81 games.
