Texas Heat Wave Shatters Records, No End in Sight.
A dangerous heat wave has hit Texas, breaking all-time record highs in several locations, with temperatures reaching over 110 degrees. The heat wave is expected to continue through at least the Fourth of July, with triple-digit highs over most of Texas and parts of Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. Climate change has made record heat in this Mexico-Texas heat wave at least five times more likely. Residents are advised to avoid prolonged outdoor activity, especially in the hottest part of the day, and to check on the elderly and those without air conditioning.
