Insidious: A New Host, Same Old House
Insidious: Out of the Further follows a new protagonist, Gemma, who experiences nightmares that bleed into reality and can pull things from the dream realm, with Elise only briefly appearing and Cyrus leading a cult; the film delivers several strong scares and a flurry of familiar cameos for fans, but largely sticks to recycled haunted-house tropes and underuses its main heroine, making it a brisk yet mostly predictable sixth entry that still hits theaters on August 21.
