Unexplained Holes Found on International Space Station
Cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub discovered mysterious holes on the radiator panel of the International Space Station (ISS) during a spacewalk to fix a leak. The holes have even edges, resembling drilled holes, and are spread chaotically. The radiator was part of Russia's Nauka module and served as a backup to regulate temperature inside the lab. The cosmonauts closed valves to cut off the external radiator from its ammonia supply, causing a growing "blob" of ammonia coolant. Russian engineers will investigate the cause of the leak and the origin of the holes.
