Giants OTA Focuses on Injury Prevention and Player Reps
Giants' OTA highlighted Odell Beckham Jr. as the marquee attraction while the team emphasized injury prevention, deploying new testing and equipment to tailor training. Left tackle Andrew Thomas practiced at left tackle for the first time this spring as he handles foot and shoulder issues. Kayvon Thibodeaux saw first-team reps, and the starting WR trio was Darnell Mooney, Calvin Austin, and Malachi Fields with Greg Newsome and Deonte Banks splitting first-team CB duties. Kicking was inconsistent for Ben Sauls (4 of 10 FG attempts before two late makes). Gunner Olszewski attended on a four-wheeled scooter after his Achilles injury. The Giants also signed three WRs earlier in the week to bolster depth.
