"Antares 230+ bids farewell with historic ISS mission"
The final flight of the Antares 230+ launch vehicle, carrying the S.S. Laurel Clark Cygnus cargo ship, is scheduled to supply the International Space Station (ISS) under the Commercial Resupply Services contract. The mission will carry over 3,700 kilograms of cargo, including a gene therapy experiment, a study of the ionosphere, and a new water system. After berthing to the ISS, the Cygnus spacecraft will conduct experiments, deploy CubeSats, and then re-enter the Earth's atmosphere. Northrop Grumman plans to retire the Antares 230+ and develop the Antares 330 series with Firefly Aerospace.
