Meta Quest 3: The Future of Mixed Reality Headsets?
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman tried out a prototype of the upcoming Meta Quest 3 mixed-reality headset, which is notably slimmer than its predecessor, the Quest 2. This could suggest that Apple's Reality Pro headset may also be sleeker than expected. The Meta Quest 3 has external cameras that give it AR as well as VR capabilities, and pricing is expected to be higher than the Quest 2's $400. The Reality Pro will be a more sophisticated device than the Quest 3, but Meta has a lot of VR games and experiences already available, and the possible $500 price will be more palatable than the rumored $1,500-3,000 for Apple's headset.
