Egypt, Jordan, and Palestine unite against Israel, condemn Saudi-Israel ties
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Jordan's King Abdullah expressed "full support" for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and called on Israel to fulfill its obligations under international law. The leaders emphasized the importance of finding a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause and reaffirmed their adherence to the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative. The joint communique did not directly reference reports of a potential normalization deal between Israel and Saudi Arabia. The leaders condemned Israeli policies and actions against Palestinians, including military incursions, settlement activities, and violations of the status quo in Jerusalem. They also called for the release of seized Palestinian tax revenues and an end to settler "terrorism."
