Hubble's Mesmerizing View of Nearby Sparkling Galaxies
The Hubble Space Telescope has captured a stunning image of the protostellar object OH 339.88-1.26, located 8,900 light-years away in the constellation Ara. The image reveals dark dust lanes intertwined with bright stars, with a vertical streak concealing the astrophysical maser. This image is part of a study investigating the formation of massive protostars, using Hubble's observations in conjunction with other observatories such as ALMA and SOFIA.
