Dawn blast at Augsburg rail hub prompts closure, two injured as probe begins
An early-morning explosion near Augsburg's central train station injured two people— a 17-year-old girl and an 18-year-old man, both Ukrainian citizens— prompting a temporary station shutdown. A second suspicious object was found but later deemed harmless, and the station along with train services was reopened by about 10:00 local time as authorities investigate potential motives.
