Patriots kick off free agency with Jones and Gilliam signings to reload roster
The Patriots opened NFL free agency by signing defensive end Dre’Mont Jones to a three-year deal and fullback Reggie Gilliam to a three-year deal, as they look to reload with about $43 million in cap space; they also tendered fullback Jack Westover, released LB Jahlani Tavai, and saw TE Austin Hooper depart, while adding an assistant coach as they begin a busy week of moves across the league.
