Secret Service Deploys Avenger Missile Systems at Mar-a-Lago Amid Heightened Threats
The U.S. Secret Service has requested the deployment of surface-to-air missile systems at Mar-a-Lago and the nearby Donald J. Trump International Airport. NORAD and U.S. Northern Command confirmed the placement of Avenger Short-Range Air Defense Systems to counter aerial threats, including drones and low-flying aircraft. Officials cited a 'heightened threat environment' but did not specify a particular incident. The move follows recent airspace violations and increased security concerns ahead of midterm elections.
