"Android's Upcoming Battery Health Features: What You Need to Know"

Android is reportedly preparing to introduce a battery health section in its Settings menu, allowing users to monitor the remaining capacity of their phone's battery as it ages. Strings in an update to the Settings Services app suggest that the new page will display the estimated percentage of charge the battery can currently hold compared to when it was new. The page may also offer an option to recalibrate the results and detect if an original or replacement battery is being used. This is not the first time Google has explored battery health features, as a more complete section was discovered in Android 13 but never went live.
