McCartney Texts Director Mendes to Fix 'Little Paul' Height in Beatles Biopics
Paul McCartney publicly complained to director Sam Mendes that his character in the upcoming Beatles films is being portrayed as shorter than John Lennon, a recurring issue in previous biopics. McCartney, 84, told the 'Good Hang' podcast that he texted Mendes after seeing a still from the Abbey Road scene where actor Paul Mescal appeared markedly smaller than Harris Dickinson. Mendes responded that the discrepancy was due to stride patterns, not height. The four-part cinematic event, featuring Joseph Quinn and Barry Keoghan, is set for release in April 2028.
