Paleontologists unveil Wyoteuthis linsterorum, a colossal Jurassic belemnite from Wyoming
Researchers describe Wyoteuthis linsterorum, a new, unusually large belemnite from Wyoming’s Late Jurassic Sundance Formation, estimated at about 60 cm long with a 10 cm rostrum and up to 6 cm width, making it the thickest belemnite on record and the first North American Megateuthididae specimen.
