Best Medicine Season 2 Premiere: Martin Confesses Blood Phobia, Louisa Pursues Solo Parenthood
The Season 2 premiere of Best Medicine, titled 'Be Careful What You Fish For,' centers on Dr. Martin Best publicly revealing his blood phobia to the town of Port Wenn to help a distressed patient. Executive producers Liz Tuccillo and Rodney Ferrell explain that this moment was designed to show Martin finally letting go of his secret, though it strains his relationship with Aunt Sarah. Meanwhile, Louisa decides to pursue fertility treatment alone, rejecting Mark’s offer of co-parenting, while a new state monitor, Parker, arrives to oversee Martin’s medical compliance.
