
Bill Ritter Announces Alzheimer’s Diagnosis, Will Step Back From ABC7 Anchoring
Bill Ritter, a longtime ABC7 Eyewitness News anchor in New York, disclosed during the Friday 6 p.m. newscast that he has early-stage Alzheimer’s and is stepping down from daily anchoring but will continue to report on Alzheimer’s and related resources; after years of reduced duties since turning 75, he plans to spend more time with family while remaining part of the ABC7 team.
