Iran Successfully Launches Indigenous Rocket Carrying Biological Capsule into Space
Iran has successfully launched its newest bio-space capsule into orbit using the domestically-built Salman launcher. The 500-kilogram capsule, developed by the Aerospace Research Institute, is a step towards sending humans into space and reviving the country's space industry. The launch tested various space technologies and the capsule was carried in good condition. Iran aims to conduct suborbital tests of the new generation of bio-capsules, bringing them closer to their space goals, but it will still be 5 to 6 years before humans can be sent into space. Iran is among the top 10 countries in the space industry and among the top 7 in bio-space.
