El Niño Brings Extreme Weather Patterns and Climate Changes.
El Niño has officially formed and could bring heavy rain and flooding to Southern California. It formed earlier than most El Niños, giving it room to grow, and there's a 56% chance it will be considered strong. San Bernardino County Public Works is already preparing with a blizzard plan and lessons learned from last winter's snow. Residents should also prepare for El Niño by fixing any property issues. El Niño hits hardest in December through February, shifting the winter storm track farther south to the equator.
