"Apple Watch Saves Woman's Life on Ryanair Flight"
An off-duty NHS doctor used an Apple Watch to save the life of a 70-year-old woman who suffered a medical emergency on a flight from Birmingham to Verona. Dr. Rashid Riaz borrowed the device and used its Blood Oxygen software to assess the patient's oxygen levels, prompting the airline crew to provide oxygen and contact emergency services. Apple has noted that the Blood Oxygen app is not intended for medical use and is only designed for general fitness and wellness purposes.
