
Portland Woman Identified in Sauvie Island Boat Crash on the Willamette River
Deputies identified 25-year-old Rosalyn Albornoz-Lopez of Portland as the victim who died when a 33-foot cabin cruiser struck an aluminum walkway and ran ashore near Sauvie Island on July 4. The boat’s operator (51) and three other female passengers were hospitalized but expected to survive. Investigators are examining possible factors such as speed, impairment, or lighting, and the case is being coordinated with the Multnomah County DA’s Office; no arrests have been reported as of Monday morning.
