Bolton pleads guilty to mishandling classified notes for book project
Former national security adviser John Bolton pleaded guilty to illegally retaining top-secret information found in diary entries prepared for a forthcoming book. After initially denying 18 counts, he faces up to five years in prison, a $2.25 million fine, and 100 hours of community service, with sentencing scheduled for Oct. 28.
