FIA bans rain boost as F1 tightens wet-weather rules for Miami GP
Ahead of the Miami Grand Prix, the FIA introduced wet-weather power rules that inhibit or ban Boost mode in low-grip conditions to reduce large speed differences between cars. The changes, an evolution of the 2026 regulations, aim to improve safety in rain by limiting power delivery, while other aero adjustments remain in place and overtaking mode can operate within the new wet power curves.
