Cuba ties fatal speedboat attack to U.S. incursion, says second boat fled
Cuba’s Interior Ministry says a Florida-flagged speedboat opened fire on border guards off the island’s north coast, killing four attackers; officials say the intruders arrived from the U.S. in two boats but one failed, with supplies transferred to the surviving craft. Authorities displayed heavy weapons and ammunition found on board and said the attackers were trained and financed. A border-guard boat was struck and a commander injured; six Cuban-origin suspects could face terrorism charges. The U.S. has denied it was a government operation.
