Borderless Gaming Bypasses Nvidia to Run DLSS 5 on Older GPUs
Borderless Gaming has updated its Steam application to include a custom implementation of Nvidia's DLSS 5 neural rendering and frame generation. Developed by Andrew Sampson, the update avoids Nvidia's proprietary software by using a quantized model that runs via the BGFX compositor pipeline. This allows the technology to function on unsupported hardware, including RTX 3090 cards, without modifying game files or requiring RTX 50-series GPUs.
