Trainee bus driver crashes into the Seine, four rescued in Paris
A trainee French bus driver left a station in the Paris area, struck a parked car, and drove the bus into the Seine. The four people on board—the driver and three passengers—were pulled from the water and rescued as 16 fire trucks, 34 firefighters, 60 police officers and river-rescue teams responded; all aboard were reported safe. Witnesses described screams and people in the water, and authorities said quays would be secured while investigations continue.
