Ukraine’s drone blitz tightens grip on Crimea supply route
Ukrainian drone forces have intensified hits on Russia’s southward supply route, the R-280 to Crimea, turning it into a highway of death as Hornet and Morrigan drones strike trucks, bridges and rail links up to 200 km behind the front. The middle strike campaign has driven a 71% drop in cargo traffic along the route in two weeks and sparked fuel shortages in Crimea, with Chonhar Bridge traffic halted after strikes. Zelenskyy says strikes have quadrupled since February and Fedorov calls for a logistics lockdown, while ISW notes notable effects on Russia’s ability to use this corridor and Russia restricts civilian truck movements in occupied Kherson.
