Manganiello’s Memoir 'Bloodlines' Details Autoimmune Crisis and Dispute with Vergara
Actor Joe Manganiello has revealed in his upcoming memoir, 'Bloodlines,' that a severe, seven-year autoimmune illness nearly killed him and contributed to the collapse of his marriage to Sofía Vergara. The book, set for release on October 13, details his struggle with undiagnosed symptoms, a major organ amputation, and the emotional distance he felt from his ex-wife during his recovery. Manganiello disputes Vergara’s previous public claims that their divorce stemmed from disagreements over having children, arguing instead that his health issues forced him to abandon the idea of parenthood. He credits a Santa Monica shaman and reconstructive surgery for his current symptom-free status and is now considering children with his fiancée, Caitlin O'Connor.
