Google Executive Flies Daily Between LA and San Francisco for Hybrid Work
Angelique Khieu, a 26-year-old Google Business Account Executive, has gained attention for her extreme commute between Los Angeles and San Francisco. To meet her hybrid work requirement of being in the office three days a week, she departs from LAX at 6 a.m. and arrives at her San Francisco workplace by 8:30 a.m. via flight and BART. This routine, which she maintained nearly every week during the first half of 2026, involves six to ten flights monthly. Khieu, who holds homes in both cities, describes the journey as a reversal of her vacation excitement, noting that frequent travel has normalized the airport experience for her. Her viral TikTok video highlighting this commute has sparked reactions ranging from disbelief to shared experiences among other long-distance commuters.
