Android rolls out real-time shield against AI deepfake call scams
Google is rolling out 'fake call detection' on Android 12+ that automatically verifies calls when both sides use Phone by Google with RCS. If the verification signal is missing, the recipient's device pings the caller's real device and warns to hang up, helping prevent AI voice cloning and call-spoofing in real time.
