Cave Story PC Gets Console-Ready Makeover With Co-Op, Modding, and Visual Upgrades
Nicalis released a major PC (Steam) update for Cave Story that brings late-console additions to the PC version, including two-player co-op, extensive visual upgrades (animated portraits, improved lighting and water, widescreen support), and support for user-made mods (graphics packs, soundtracks, challenges). The patch also adds new content like the Sand Pit Challenge and a Jukebox, plus numerous gameplay tweaks and modding tools, effectively unifying features across platforms.
