Hostages Released as Israel-Hamas Truce Nears End
Negotiators from multiple countries are working towards extending the cease-fire in the Gaza Strip, while Hamas released 16 more hostages. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insists that the war will continue, and Hamas announced that three Israeli hostages, including a 10-month-old child, have died. The hostage release included Israeli citizens, dual nationals, and Thai citizens. Hamas is willing to extend the truce for four days and release more hostages in exchange for Palestinian security prisoners. Israeli officials are also interested in extending the cease-fire.
