
Chai Vang, killer of six Wisconsin hunters, dies in prison
Chai Vang, who was sentenced to six life sentences for shooting eight hunters and killing six in Sawyer County in 2004 (the so‑called Tree Stand Murders), has died in a hospital while incarcerated at Oshkosh Correctional Institution, according to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections; Vang had claimed self-defense after being confronted by trespassing hunters.
