Tree Stand Murders convict dies behind bars, ending a six-life sentence chapter
Chai Vang, convicted of killing six of eight hunters in Sawyer County in 2004 and serving six life sentences, died at a hospital while being housed at the Oshkosh Correctional Institution, ending a long-running case known as the Tree Stand Murders; the Wisconsin DOC said he was deceased and cited federal privacy laws for additional details.
