Philippines Vigilant as Chinese Vessels Swarm South China Sea
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has deployed two vessels to monitor the increasing presence of Chinese maritime militia vessels in the South China Sea. The number of Chinese boats believed to be manned by militia personnel has risen to over 135, causing concern for the Philippines. The PCG is committed to safeguarding maritime security and protecting the country's territorial integrity and sovereignty. The Philippines recently conducted joint patrols with the United States and Australia in the South China Sea, escalating tensions with China, which has accused the Philippines of enlisting foreign forces.
