Anthropic launches Claude Design, an AI design studio to rival Figma and Canva
Anthropic has unveiled Claude Design, a research-preview AI design tool built on Claude that can generate design systems, website prototypes, slides, and other visuals from existing code or assets. It offers interactive fine-tuning, lets designers approve changes, and can export outputs as PDFs, PowerPoint slides, or standalone HTML, or hand off work to Canva or Claude Code. The launch signals Anthropic’s push into design tooling and comes amid industry chatter about a Claude-based design rival to Canva and Figma, with token-based usage limits on paid Claude plans and plans to expand integrations in the coming weeks.
