Juno's Close-Up Images Reveal Jupiter's Mesmerizing Storms
NASA's Juno mission has shared stunning close-up images of Jupiter, revealing powerful storms on the planet's northern hemisphere. The images, resembling abstract watercolor paintings, were captured by Juno during its 24th flyby of Jupiter in July 2019. The spacecraft took the pictures from a distance of 14,600 miles above the planet's cloud tops. Juno has been studying Jupiter since 2016, providing valuable insights into the gas giant's atmosphere, interior structure, and magnetic field.
