AC Cars Unveils 720-HP Cobra GT Coupe and Ambitious Production Leap
AC Cars marks its 125th anniversary by unveiling the Cobra GT Coupe, a Le Mans–inspired two-seater powered by a Ford 5.0-liter V8 with 433 hp in base form and about 710–720 hp in its top spec, weighing roughly 3,500 lb with a 50:50 balance and a 0–60 mph around 3.5 seconds. The automaker has acquired a new facility to lift production from 100 to 1,000 cars per year, with first deliveries expected in 2028; pricing starts around $315k for the standard engine and $345k for the supercharged model, and a Cobra GT Roadster plus a classic version are planned.
