Revolutionary Ketamine Therapy: A Game-Changer for Depression Treatment
Researchers at the University of Exeter have developed a new therapy called Augmented Depression Therapy (ADepT) that shows promise in treating depression. ADepT focuses on building well-being in addition to reducing depressive symptoms, making it potentially more effective and cheaper than Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In a pilot trial, ADepT was found to be at least as effective as CBT and showed potential for greater gains in quality of life. If further trials confirm these results, ADepT could offer both clinical and economic benefits in depression care.
