St. Paul bystander stops runaway school bus after driver seizure
Ebro Ahmed, 27, prevented a potential tragedy in St. Paul, Minnesota, by jumping onto a moving school bus on Monday, October 19, 2026, after noticing the driver suffering a medical emergency. Ahmed, who was standing outside a convenience store, sprinted to the vehicle, engaged the emergency brake, and called for help, saving approximately 18 to 19 middle school students. No injuries were reported, and the driver is expected to recover. Ahmed credited the TV series 'Grey's Anatomy' for helping him remain calm during the incident.
