Apple's Mac mini M6 is the fastest mini yet, with up to 32GB RAM and strong real‑world performance, but at a $899 base price it's no longer the bargain the minis used to be; memory/storage upgrades are pricey, and for more power you might opt for the M5 Pro or Mac Studio rather than sticking with the base model.
Minisforum's AtomMan G1 Pro squeezes a laptop-class Ryzen 9 8945HX and a desktop RTX 5060 into a 3.85-liter chassis with an integrated PSU, delivering solid 1080p gaming and strong multi-core performance for its size; however upgradeability is limited, IO is modest (no USB4/20Gbps ports), cooling is quiet, and at $1,799 as tested it competes with larger towers that offer more headroom, making it a niche rather than a clear winner.

Beelink has launched the GTR7 and GTR7 Pro mini PCs, which are among the first compact desktop computers with AMD Ryzen 7040 “Phoenix” chips. The processors support up to 8 of AMD’s Zen 4 CPU cores, up to 12 RDNA 3 compute units, and up to 24MB of cache. The mini PCs feature 8-core, 16-thread chips with Radeon 780M integrated graphics as well as support for up to 64GB of DDR5-5600 memory and up to 8TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe storage. The Ryzen 9 7940HS chip is only slightly faster than the Ryzen 7 7840HS, but the mini PCs are powerful with support for up to four displays and integrated graphics that rival entry-level discrete GPUs.
