
Cycling community mourns Finlay Tarling after Volta a Portugal crash
Welsh cyclist Finlay Tarling, 19, died after a collision with a vehicle during Stage 8 of the Volta a Portugal. The stage was neutralised and later cancelled as tributes poured in. Portuguese President António José Seguro and Prime Minister Luís Montenegro issued statements of deep sorrow and condolences to Tarling’s family, his NSN Development Team, the peloton, and the wider cycling community, with UCI President David Lappartient also expressing sadness.
