IDF Rescues Israeli Soldier Held by Hamas in Daring Operation
Israeli forces, in a joint operation with the Israeli Security Agency (ISA), have successfully rescued an Israeli soldier who was held captive by Hamas. The soldier, Pvt. Ori Megidish, was among over 200 hostages held by Hamas, and her rescue marks the first successful hostage extrication since Hamas' October 7 rampage. The operation was based on intelligence, and Megidish is reported to be in good physical and mental condition. Israeli forces are committed to rescuing all remaining hostages held by Hamas in Gaza, but it is unclear if there are other similar operations planned. The rescue comes amid international pressure on Israel to secure the release of the captives, including civilians and soldiers, held by Hamas.
