Falmouth Evacuation Scope Narrowed to 339 Homes as WW2 Bomb Disposal Begins
A suspected 250lb American World War II bomb discovered in Falmouth Docks on Monday has triggered a revised evacuation plan for 339 households on Wednesday. The safety cordon was reduced from an initial 1,400m to 755m following expert assessment. Train services between Falmouth Town and Falmouth Docks are suspended, and military bomb disposal teams are preparing to remove the device.
