Falmouth cordon lifted after WWII bomb safely removed from docks
A World War II-era bomb discovered in Falmouth Docks has been safely removed, allowing hundreds of evacuated residents to return home. The 250lb device, found in the water on Monday, prompted a large-scale evacuation of over 300 homes. Military experts confirmed the bomb was moved to a deep-water location for disposal, with the cordon lifted by 4:00 PM on Wednesday.
