Polly the Golden Retriever Wins CPR Hero Award After Saving Owner from Cardiac Arrest
A golden retriever named Polly saved her owner Adam Cooke’s life in March 2024 by barking loudly to wake his wife during a cardiac arrest. Polly subsequently won the British Heart Foundation’s annual CPR Hero award. Adam spent three weeks in intensive care but has since recovered and now walks with Polly instead of running.
